With contactless payments, you can pay by holding your card against the payment terminal instead of inserting it into the card reader. The feature is available on payment terminals that display the contactless payment symbol.
How do contactless payments work?
For purchases over SEK 400, you will be required to enter your PIN.
For purchases under SEK 400, you can usually pay by tapping your card without entering your PIN or inserting the card into the terminal.
How many contactless payments can I make?
For security reasons, there is a limit to how many contactless payments can be made in a row.
Once this limit has been reached, the payment terminal may display a message indicating that the payment is not allowed or ask you to insert your card and complete the purchase using your chip and PIN. After that, contactless payments will be available again.
Why isn't contactless payment working?
There are a few common reasons:
Your card needs to be activated. The first purchase with a new card must be completed using chip and PIN before contactless payments are enabled.
The payment terminal does not support contactless payments. Check that the payment terminal displays the contactless payment symbol.
